The new swing bridge was moved over the Manchester Ship Canal for the first time a couple of days ago.  My original plan was to take a few photos of it in position then go into Manchester to have a look around the Christmas markets.  However, there was no wind and the waterways at the Quays were like a mirror, giving superb reflections, so I spent a while wandering around there.  Also there was a bungee jumping operation going on, which detained me for an hour or so, and in the end didn't get to Manchester.
